No time to read blogs online?
By Darina • Jan 29th, 2009 • Category: Other Stuff !I love blogs, all sorts from business ones to odd ones ! and I normally subscribe to them through google reader so I can quickly see new posts on my iGoogle homepage and decide which ones to read or not. BUT I know there are many of you who either don’t have the time, don’t understand how to subscribe, or just don’t like reading them online.
Well I came across a new concept which just launched this week, initially in the San Francisco area but I have to say I’d love to see it here. I think it would work great for all those daily dart and bus commuters not to mention just picking it up in the local shop.
The Printed Blogseeks to change the way people share and interact with news from the world around them. They hope to play a pivotal role in reversing the fortunes of the newspaper industry with this new media project.
It’s the world’s first daily newspaper comprised entirely of blogs and other user generated content, reading and functioning like a webfeed yet can still be enjoyed on the train or spread across the breakfast table.
The selection of content in The Printed Blog is based solely on the votes of readers and their geographic location, so it’s a local paper.
Check it out here www.theprintedblog.com and if there are any enterprising publishers amongst you who think it would work here ! why not give them a shout
